This book, God’s Cocktail Party, is more than just a story but a final expression of a life lived with profound intellectual curiosity. My father, Dan M. Khanna, had an enthusiasm for learning so compelling, I often witnessed him reading three books at one time. He explored every subject, especially history, which he insisted was the most essential teacher of all things. He also read about all religions and was able to share insight on the complex relationships between people from different backgrounds. To speak with him was to take a master class in life, always gaining new insights or leaving with a new question to ponder. What truly defined him was the love he shared with humanity, particularly with his beloved granddaughters.
God’s Cocktail Party tackles the idiosyncrasies of life with engaging humor inviting the reader into a conversation that feels grand but also personal. I know he intended to share this unpublished story with fellow deep thinkers, and I’d like to carry out this wish. The world deserves to witness his brilliance and glimpse the wisdom I grew up with as the daughter of this exceptional man. My father poured himself into this book, and I can hear his voice through each word.
God’s Cocktail Party is his closing gift to the world, and it is my profound honor to share his final work. By publishing this book on his behalf, I know his wisdom will live on and allow readers to experience the joy of learning from him, just as I did.
