"Holding in your hands a story that began in your mind is the closest you'll get to immortality."
~H. Halverson,
CEO of Wilson Lindberg Books, LLC
Writing a book is hard, and navigating the world of book publishing services can feel overwhelming! At Wilson Lindberg Books, we provide the author support you need to transform your idea into reality.
Our mission is to meet you where you are, elevate your voice, and help you achieve your goals within the literary community.
Whether you require extensive assistance or just some advice on how to write an author bio or book formatting, we're dedicated to supporting all members of the writing community.
97% of people who begin writing a book never finish it. Out of every 1,000 aspiring writers, only about 30 complete their manuscript. Of those 30, only 6 go on to have their book published, which equates to 0.6% of the original group.

"Publishing my father’s book after his passing was one of the most important things I’ve ever done—and I’m so grateful I had Hillary by my side.
She didn’t just help publish a book—she helped bring a piece of my dad back to life. Throughout the process, she was thoughtful, patient, and incredibly respectful of his voice and vision. It meant everything to work with someone who understood that this was more than just a project—it was his legacy.
Hillary’s care, attention to detail, and genuine support made all the difference during a very emotional time. Because of her, something so deeply personal became something lasting and real.
I will always be grateful for the role she played in honoring my father’s work, and I highly recommend Hillary to anyone looking for a publisher with both heart and excellence. Thank you Hillary!"

“Working with Hillary was an incredible experience. She truly understood my vision and helped me bring my story to life to life. She guided me at my own pace and knew when to nudge and challenge me. What started as a stream of consciousness became a clear, compelling book that expressed my voice in a way my readers have connected with.”

"I was thrilled to meet with Hillary and start working with her. She provided an honest assessment of my work and ideas, and when I have "writer's block" we meet, and she provides an off ramp to get my creative juices flowing again. She is the reason I am writing again!"

"From the very beginning, I knew I wanted to partner with a woman-owned publishing company because I deeply believe in the power of women supporting women. When I met Hillary, everything just clicked. She’s creative, collaborative, and truly believed in my manuscript, which gave me the confidence to keep chasing this dream
.
Publishing a book can feel overwhelming and, at times, out of reach. But Hillary's industry expertise, paired with her genuine willingness to walk alongside me every step of the way, eased that uncertainty and turned the experience into a partnership I truly value. My #AuthorJourney wouldn’t have been the same without her and I'm proud to now call her a friend.

After completing my middle-grade manuscript, WAG 2816 Alien Cyber Dog, I spent five years working unsuccessfully with an agent to get published. I ultimately decided to self-publish, using Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). After talking with other authors, I realized that even if I had snagged a publisher, I would likely need to do most of the promotion myself. As for preparing my manuscript for publication, I had no doubt that I could do that on my own.
I set up a KDP account and quickly found the next steps bewildering. It’s a little like deciding whether to hire a contractor to upgrade your back deck; technically, you can do it yourself, but a competent contractor will do it faster and better. As for preparing a manuscript for publication, you need to get it right the first time. KDP Publishing is impressive and provides an author with the tools you need to self-publish, but it’s not all that easy.
Wilson Lindberg Books provided the assistance I needed, beginning with basic editing. Hillary Halverson provided polishing of my manuscript, advice on front materials, back materials, and integration of illustrations. Hillary helped me through the KDP bookshelf process, including manuscript formatting. Hillary provided my barcodes, ISBN numbers, and assisted in the complicated process of cover formatting.
When my book was published, WLB introduced me to a marketing professional who provided me with specific suggestions on how to use social media to build interest in the weeks before my launch.
In retrospect, I could have done it all myself, but with WLB, I published a better-looking, more polished book. I did this in less time and with far less angst than I could ever have done on my own. Using WLB was one of the best decisions I have ever made."
